Start your studies right with the VU Introduction Days
No events at VU Amsterdam until 1 September
Due to the Covid-19 (Corona) measures taken by the Dutch government today, no events are allowed until 1 September 2020. This means that the VU Introduction Days as we know them and would have liked to offer to you, cannot go ahead this year. We are currently exploring alternative scenarios and will inform you once we know more.
Due to the Covid-19 (Corona) measures taken by the Dutch government today, no events are allowed before 1 September 2020. This means that the VU Introduction Days as we know them and would have liked to offer to you, cannot go ahead this year. Naturally, we are very disappointed, but at the same time, we fully understand and respect the measures taken.
We are actively searching for ways to enable you to get to know your fellow students this coming August, to get to know the VU, your study programme and of course the city of Amsterdam! Together with all colleagues and students within the VU, the study-, student- and sports associations and cultural organisations in Amsterdam, we will make sure that you will feel welcome and ready to embark on the next phase in your life.
Watch this website and our social media for more information as we shape our alternative programme!
This is the ideal way to get to know the university, your fellow students, your student city and to learn about everything that has to do with studying.
Any initial introduction can be a bit stressful, but at VU Amsterdam you are not alone. You will embark on this adventure with around 4000 other first-year students. You will be divided into a group with fifteen fellow students and two experienced mentors—senior students who already know their way around the VU campus and Amsterdam.
Participating in 2020?
In 2020, the VU Introduction Days will take place on 19, 20, 21, 24 and 25 August. We aim to publish the programme and open registration in June 2020. Also keep an eye out on our VU Introduction Days App, available at the App store and Google Play Store.
If you have any questions about the 2019 edition or the upcoming 2020 Days, please send an email to email@example.com
For international students, the International Office organises Arrival Days on Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 August, so just before the Bachelor's introduction. During these two days you can arrange all practical matters, like for example registration at the municipality or picking up your student card. You will receive more information about this via email.
