American certification of Certified Management Accountant
The English version of the CMA review course is open to non-Dutch speakers with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, and who work in Accounting, Business or Finance.
The CMA program leads to the American certification of Certified Management Accountant (CMA). Main focus areas within this program are Financial Planning, Performance and Analytics (CMA Part 1), as well as Strategic Financial Management (CMA Part 2). Topics such as Planning & Control, Calculations for Decision Making, Financial Reporting, Financial Statement Analysis, Corporate Finance, Risk Management and Internal Controls are covered throughout the program.
At the VU, the English CMA program prepares its candidates for the CMA exams. The exams are organized by the American Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA). The VU CMA course covers IMA's new 2020 program in order to prepare the candidates for the CMA-exams. More information about the new 2020 program can be found on the website of IMA.
Graduates of the CMA program can participate in workshops, CPE-events and annual meetings organized by the IMA Amsterdam-Netherlands Chapter.
